OBITUARY for ANNA W. HOOVER

Anna W. Hoover, 64, of Berrysburg, formerly of Port Royal and Lancaster, passed away at 11:34 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024 at her residence.

Born on June 8, 1959 in Hinkletown, Lancaster Co., she is a daughter of the late Abraham M. and Elizabeth (Weaver) Martin.

On December 27, 1980, she was married to her late husband, Melvin M. Hoover, Jr. with whom she was blessed to share over 37 years of marriage before his passing on October 23, 2018.

She is survived by her children, Karen Elizabeth Hoover of Berrysburg, Kyler Nathan Hoover and his wife Ahleah of New Bloomfield, Rosanne Kay Musser and her husband Kordell of Berrysburg, and Phillip Andrew Hoover of New Bloomfield; one grandson on the way; four sisters, Edna Faye Burkholder, Vera Sensenig, Mary E. Nolt, and Etta Martin; six brothers, Leon, Lewis, Lloyd, Roy, Paul David, and Lester Abraham Martin; two sisters in law, Ruth Ann Hoover and her husband Clair and Mary Jane Martin; two brothers in law, Curvin Hoover and his wife Mary Jane and Nelson Hoover and his wife Dawn; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step mother, Stella S. Martin; and one brother, Harold Martin.

In earlier life, Mrs. Hoover was a member and attended Delaware Mennonite Church in East Salem and was currently attending Shalom Mennonite Church in Milton.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, canning, and spending time with her family, especially her children.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Mennonite Church, 16 Delaware Church Road, Thompsontown with the Shalom Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 4 –7 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024 and from 10 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, all being held from the Delaware Mennonite Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Hoover’s memory can be made to the Shalom Mennonite Church, 955 Dance Hall Road, Milton, PA 17847.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
